"It's Complicated" actors Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin were pretty funny and, though some of their jokes could've seem quite insisting, they became a very entretaining factor for the evening.
The first Oscar went to...
...the austriac actor Christoph Waltz who had already won the Golden Globe last January, which made this a pretty obvious decision but totally well deserved for his role in Inglorious Basterds. Penelope Cruz was in charge of handing the award to him.
The best animated film...
...was obviously the moving "Up", which won the Oscar for best animated feature film of the year, recieved by both directors and writers Pete Docter and Bob Peterson (photo on the right), as well as the Oscar for best Original Score, for Michael Giacchino.
The most hilarious moment...
...was when Ben Stiller presented the nominations for best make-up and showed up all dressed up like a Navi from the Pandora planet and started "speaking" their language and, apparently, he said something about James Cameron. The award finally went to Star Trek, but in the mean time we all had a great laugh with Stiller's weird appearence.
Don't you forget about me...
I guess we could say the most moving moment was not only the general memorial to great personalities that passed away last year (such as David Carradine, Patrick Swayze, Natasha Richardson, Michael Jackson and most surprising, the death of young Brittany Murphy) but also the special memorial to last year's diseased John Hughes. Molly Ringwald and Matthew Broderick started talking about the talented teen movie director, producer and writer of the 80's and 90's decades. Soon after that, the showed us a video with mixed clips of different movies of him, such as "Some kind of wonderful" and "The breakfast club". Before we noticed, many more actors appeared on stage, such as Jon Cryer, Macaulay Culkin (yes!, you heard me) and Ally Sheedy, who's careers had also started thanks to this amazing man. Very well deserved!!
The BEST supporting actress
The winner of this award was the precious comedian Mo' Nique who pulled off an amazing dramatic performance, and who gave the most powerful speach of all, teaching us that you have to always walk your own path, ignoring those ones who tell you that you can't. The big award was handed to her by Oscar winner Robin Williams. Two thumbs up:)
Speach Interrupted
Roger Ross Williams (right), director of the last night Oscar winner documentary "Music by Prudence" got interrupted at the beggining of his speach by film partner Elinor Burkett in a very disrespectful way. But he was not the only one who got interrupted while speach time; the academy had no better idea than giving limited time for the winners to speak, so many of the awards that were received last night, and were also shared between two or three people more, couldn't have enough time to be thanked for. Oh, right. But when sir Jeff Bridges raised his statue (down on the left) we all had to listen to an 8 minute boring speach. What was that all about? By the way, congratulations, Jeff. You won after five nominations.
The big lead actors who won!
After a lot of speculation and lots of tension for Sandra Bullock, she finally knew the answer: she was the big Oscar winner (Razzie awards my ass!). Also winning on the male cathegory we've got the previously mentioned Jeff Bridges.
The biggest honor for Argentina, my hometown!
Just when we all thought it was hopeless (cause, seriously, we had tough competion this year: La teta asustada from Peru, Un Prophete from France, Das weisse Band - Eine deutsche Kindergeschichte from Germany and Ajami from Israel) Pedro Almodovar announced El Secreto de sus Ojos with Quentin Tarantino (O.M.G!!!!!!!) as the winner for Best Foreign Language Film of the Year. Me and my sisters yelled like crazy, and Juan Jose Campanella (the man, hehe) received the award and also got "speach interrupted" like many other winners. He still had the chance to shout out loud in spanish "This is for the brothers of Chile" in behaf of the citizens of Chile who were afected by a recent earthquake in there.
The Hurt Locker = the Big Winner of the night!!
"The Hurt Locker", just as I anticipated, took home six Oscars including best picture and best directing for Kathryn Bigelow (first woman in history to win this award and, just as Barbra Straisand said, it was about time). Yep, that's right, they kicked Avatar's ass! haha, we all know it was a pretty tight competition but, in my opinion and many others, they deserved to win...
*Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen: Mark Boal
The best motion picture award was given by Tom Hanks, one of the other big rushes of the night, given that Hanks didn't even announced the nominated. He's house was probably setting on fire or something...who knows, right?
I gotta say this show really surprised me...I'm not saying i didn't thought it'll be good, i just didn't expect it to be this good! This is a funny, sweet and kinda smart TV show about Jules, a woman who hits a wall when she turns 40, cause she realizes she's never done anything "crazy" during her youth, and it shows how much she regrets that. Of course, she's willing to do something about it, and with the help of her friend Laurie (played by an always endearing, Busy Phillips) and her old-time friend, Ellie (Christa Miller plays this funny woman character)she will start partying, drinking, among other things, to rediscover herself. Some other characters appear in the show (and make it so good too) such as Bobby (Jules's goofy ex husband, played by Brian Van Holt), Travis (Jules's son, played by young comedian Dan Byrd), Andy (Ellie's husband, played by clowny Ian Gomez), the exotic Barb (Carolyn Hennesy, a character that appears when less expected) and Grayson (Jules's "in front of" neighbor, very nice played by Josh Hopkins). But of course, all cast aside, i want to do a review that goes particularly dedicated to Courtney Cox Arquette: the actress that (in my opinion) gives us some of the most powerful performances of television. First, she gave us the obsessive organized Monica Geller, who was quite underestimated by the people in charge of the Emmys and the Golden Globes. But that was probably cause there were six very strong characters on that sitcom. Then, she gave us the polemical and unbreakable Lucy Spiller, who was also kinda underestimated, this time by the audience, given that the show got canceled. Let's not forget about her Scrubs's Taylor Maddox, and now she comes up with a very funny (and endearingly silly, if you will) Jules Cobbs, in Cougar Town. Well, what's left to say? Courtney Cox = TV queen!!
This is one of those films where a big bunch of actors and actresses get together and make this pretty wonderful film about a lot of stories (in this case, love stories) that, somehow, get laced showing us a one story plot (such as Love Actually and He's Just Not That Into You). In the case of this film, this dynamic becomes more complex given that all of these stories must get laced during just one day: Valentine's day. The actors (or, at least, most of them) give lovely (yet not amazing) performances, especially Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Eric Dane and Anne Hathaway who played characters they are not so used to play... On what comes to the younger cast, i gotta say Bryce Robinson is the most memorable one, but the teen cast? Emma Roberts and Carter Jenkins were fine, and i'd probably have to say the same about the Taylors (no need to "last name" them)but the lines were really cheesy and dumb, and i would love to believe that's only due to their characters and not due to self stupidity, cause i'm 17 years old and i bet you i've never talked like that, folks. Now putting that aside (and the fact that some things are quite predictable on everyone of this films)I feel myself almost obligated to point out that some of the endings of this laced stories were quite moving because of being so unexpected and unimaginable, and that, i believe, had given a total new meaning to this movie. Very good job, Gary Marshall. Man, i don't know how you managed such a big cast in such a short story time.
We don't always have the chance to appreciate great films, at least not from actual times. But this should be considered at least a jewel of the latest motion picture history.
This is a near-perfect kind of film that shows the difference between some men who are used to work as a team and other man who rather play hero on such a dangerous situation as war itself. It also says a lot about war becoming an addiction for someone, and how that can turn into the most important thing in someone's life.
I don't think these are words enough to describe how great this film is. Kathryn Bigelow, in my opinion, deserves the Oscar due to a wonderful development of her job as film director and, i probably think this should also be the best film winner too(i have no problem with Avatar or James Cameron, i do think they deserve the best special effects academy award, among others...).
Jeremy Renner is another pretty amazing discovery, i can't make up my mind between him or Colin Firth(A single man) on who should win the best actor academy award.

I've been waiting more for this Chrismas than any other little kid in the world!! I had a really crappy year with a terrible group of people at school. The biggest blessing i had this year was my Musical Academy and all the people i met over there, but we only shared like twice a week together, and so i kinda missed them from time to time.
I was trully looking forward for this year to end, and now, finally, it had come to an end (a very deserved one) and i can't believe it! Finally!
I ended up really exhausted after some things (situations, better saying) that i dealed with during this year, and i can not believe that i'll be leaving to the beach in less than a week now. I sware i couldn't be any more excited!!:) Hope to have a million better things for next year, a million more adventures and a million more things to be thankful for. Here there's some of them, and, also, people to remember and my new year's resolution for 2010!
*Things I'm thankful for this year:
The Jonas Brothers concert (and the amazing day i lived while they were here! can't believe how close i was to them!!)
The Julio Bocca institute (and all the amazing people i met there!!)
All the great times i went to the theater (on and off stage: Caravan: The jazz musical, The Phantom of the Opera, Spring, and more at Maipo theater!!)
The fact that i didn't have any summer school this year, and i did so great at my school subjects!
All the artistic knowledge i got this year (all the experience i achieved and stuff)
The day i met Julio Bocca in person:)
My healthy slimdown, the fact that i'm eating less and that i look better than the last summer;)
I'm also thankful that i could fall in love again, even though it was just for a bit, and that it didn't turn out quite the way i wanted...
And probably, i'm thankful for more thigs i cannot even remember right now!
*People i wish can rest in peace...

*New year's resolutions 2010:
To do even better at Julio Bocca's. I really wanna be at the head of the class this year, and i wanna keep perfectioning my dance technique and others.
To hold on during this last year at this f*cking school (and to hang with new people, not the lame creeps i had to be with this year)
To keep doing great at school (academically speaking, off course) no summer school again!
To enjoy everyday the most i can!
To get my prom sweater done with my school, and my prom trip and party with my previous school (have the best time at those ones!!)
To keep excercising your body everyday (and to loose all your extra pounds for the prom trip, that's your challenge this year!!)
To find out more about colleges: IUNA and CIC :) choose one, please...
To put on retainers for once and for all on your teeth (and i beg u to insist dad about this!!)
To enjoy this year better than the last one cause, you know what? It's your last year before college!! (fck!!)
To try to meet new people (i know how sad this sounds but, meet some guys, please. Don't wanna end up alone again)
To try to get some new acting jobs (You didn't work at all this year, only studied)
This film is obviously one of the many you should see before you die,but certainly one of the most important ones. It's short, simple, andamazing!! I gotta say it just blew my mind in a way not many otherfilms have, and it touched my heart in a way no other film have. Imean, it didn't only make me cry a few times while watching it, but italso did something bigger in me: it totally changed my vision over theworld, something that didn't happen to me since i've seen "AmericanBeauty" for the very first time. I also gotta give my "two thumbs up"grade to both great actors (who were also brother and sister, apparently) Harry and Daisy Earles, two endearing characters of thefilm. Also my biggest congrats to all of the rest of the cast, specially the lovely "freaks" that, while watching this film, i couldonly think of how much i would have loved to give them my support and love like nobody else had...
So different, so similar. the comedy, the tragedy. They both have 'em.
They're Oscar and Tony. They' re the hills and the boards. Screens and Stages.
I could keep writing about it, but it doesn't make any sense. No matter what I write about, Hollywood wins:)
Oh, this picture...my two beloved and biggest celebrity crushes. Or what i love to call...Hollywood Treats!! Well, they're my most important ones. Robert Pattinson and Joshua Jackson at the latest Cannes Film Festival. I don't mean to sound unprofessional but, yum!
Here's a video of Joshua Jackson hosting Saturday Night Live in the year 2000. Musical guest: N'Sync. It's a really short video but,...I love him!!(L)
Things aren't always what they seem to be, or what they ought to be in the first place. Sometimes you just gotta relax, and breathe, take a deep breath, and take one single step at the time. Plan the future, but accept the inexpected if it happens. Love the ones you never thought you'd love, understand what everyone missunderstood, enjoy the worst moments of your life because of what they represent, not for what they are. Cry if you have to and, also, if you don't. Have fun with a lot of people and, also, on your own. Make mistakes, even if it's on purpose, even if people tell you not to do it, cause if you're gonna do something wrong, you better do it right. After you make those mistakes, apologize, but trully mean it, not because i tell you to, but because you know you were stupid enough as to do what i told you to do in the first place.

people actually think i'm crazy cause i saw this film about five times in two years and i never get tired of it!!
Dear L: I'm sorry i copied this FG from your blog. I just truly loved it. I wanted to tell you in this small text, how much you mean to me. I found myself reading my fotolog earlier this morning, though i was there only to close my account. But i didn't. I started reading, reading for real...and there was this picture you posted on January, with a huge comment below it. You were saying how much you were gonna miss me this year, and then you started telling stories about our vacations together in Miramar when we were 12 or 13 years old. You had no idea back then, that i was about to invite you to Miramar that very same year once again. Now i'm remembering when we got together last Friday and started talking about our latest summer in Miramar. I remember our laughs, and smiles, and i realize that during this year, though we couldn't hang out as much as other years, we're inseparable. And there's nothing i want more for this summer, than having you back again. Let's laugh, let's have fun, let's fool around a little bit with strangers (unless you're not single, then we just fool around, and then leave those suckers alone, haha). But what I really want, is to have again some of those beautiful memories in my mind with someone as endearing as you, my friend. With someone I know and adore as much as you. With someone as important to me, as you. I guess what I'm trying to say is,I love you(L) always have, and always will.
I gotta say I didn't had too much hopes for this show on it's first two episodes, but while watching it every since until now, i can honestly say how mistaken i was. The second season particularly is very amusing and it caught me after every episode. You could say this is somehow the "X Files" young sister. Not to mention the special effects are really great and convincing (something sometimes really hard to find in a TV show). On what comes to the performances, Anna Torv could do a little better as the FBI Agent Oliva Dunham, but i believe her performance has even become more convincing during this second season as well. Joshua Jackson really surprised me with his smart yet stubborn Peter Bishop, when i realized "hey, this guy can truly act" i mean i was afraid it was gonna be some sort of older Pacey Witter (the role his always known for, from his previous TV show hit "Dawson's Creek") and i must say he proved me wrong, cause this role is nothing like it and, as an actress myself, i was really shocked by the way he putted the Pacey alter-ego aside to play this other role. On what comes to Walter Bishop and Agent Astrid Farsworth, i must say just how much i love them. They're this magnificent endearing duet, which is hard to find on Sci-Fi/drama TV series. John Noble is already known as a very versatile actor and i love the way he imagined this character was supposed to be and then again, they way he plays it. Jasika Nicole is, or at least her character, somebody i could be friends with that is, at the same time smart, and fits great on the Fringe Division team. I still have my doubts about characters like Nina Sharp and Agent Broyles, but still are part of an amazing cast.

Merry Little Christmas
Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Let your heart be light From now on, our troubles will be out of sight Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Make the Yule-tide gay, From now on, our troubles will be miles away. Here we are as in olden days, Happy golden days of yore. Faithful friends who are dear to us Gather near to us once more. Through the years We all will be together, If the Fates allow Hang a shining star upon the highest bough. And have yourself A merry little Christmas now.
...I have no words to say how much, but it's easier to write it down with letters. This image belongs to our last day together, and even though not all of you are in it, this goes to absolutely all of you. The start wasn't easy, it never is. But somehow, i fell in love. With all of you, cause...i wasn't so sure if i was ever gonna find more people like me. Like us. Children of the revolution, prototypes of artists, really passioned young fellas, with dreams and hopes instead of drugs and guns. But then...i met you. This fantastic group, there'll never be another just like it. It would be just impossible, you know? I mean, we're not even gonna be together next year, and that kinda bumms me out, but i hope we can all have new groups, with new amazing cool people, though nothing will be the same. How much you mean to me? You're priceless to me, you make my day (twice a week to be exact) and i like to believe i kinda did the same thing to all of you, just a bit. You're the greatest thing that happened to me this year, you're unforgettable and, no matter if there's some flaws bout some of you that i don't quite like,...i still wouldn't stop sharing all my friday nights and saturday mornings with all of you. Cause you're pretty much a part of me up to this moment, you're like my second family, and there's nothing that will ever make me forget about all the things you did for me. So i wanna thank you all: Evelyn B. for being the coolest and with a smile upon your face no matter what. Cinthia for being so adorable and endering and always hanging around for some B.A. touring, if you know what i mean. Santiago for there's no better acting partner i've ever had than you, for being so professional about everything we do on this institute, without losing your passion about it. I consider myself very lucky to meet somebody like you. And to the rest of you (cause, man, you're just so many!!) the Sophies, the Martinas, the Juliets, the other Evelyn, the Pilars, Ines, Danielle, Camille, Florence, Adriana (Grechu!), Lola, Valerie, Geraldine, Sol, Michelle, Macarena, and the rest of you (cause that is all i can remember!!)

I actually miss some of them, but i'll try to find them by facebook:)

Okay, let's talk this up. Cause in my personal experience I had been avoiding the "Twilight Saga" talk ever since i first saw Twilight on January 1st this year; not cause i didn't like it, but because i loved it and as soon as it ended (while still being on the movie theater) i couldn't wait to see the sequel!! I was literally going insane about it, I think i barely slept that night trying to figure out how would the story go on. That's exactly when I went crazy about reading the saga as well, and asked for the "Twilight" special edition book as my birthday present that year. I gotta say i just grabbed the book and read it in such short notice (while doing exams on my summer vacations, what you American people would call summer school or something, right?) and it was like the best activity for me to do while living that hard summer of full-time study. Even on rainy days i would send text messages to all my friends saying stuff like: "hey, are we in Forks or what?", it was an obsession, a constant obsession... Then i got to the day when i was all done reading Twilight and, though i got a little bummed out about it, i already had New Moon on my bedroom, and i didn't wait (i couldn't wait!) any second before i started reading it. But the story was a little depressing itself. I mean, remember that moment in the book when Edward is gone and Bella realizes about it while still hanging on the woods all on her own, and then you start passing the pages and you read how months, at the very same time, were passing by on and on. I mean, it was like "OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER..." it was the saddest thing, i'm talking about tears pouring out of my eyes as if they were the very rain falling down to Forks. That's the time i decided never to read that book again, and so i asked my friends (who had already read all of them) to tell me about the rest of the book, at least until Edward comes back. And once they did i tryied to get back to the reading, but it didn't make any sense to me, cause there were still a million things i didn't understand, and so i gave up and decided to wait for the film to arrive. Now the day's finally here (tomorrow's the worldwide opening!!) but still i have to wait 'till Saturday, cause all of the tickets for tomorrow were sold out (obviously). I'm not gonna expect anything, cause i know that whatever they have to show me, i'll love it! I'm not gonna get all bitchie or movie geek critical or something, I'm just gonna sit in the movies like i always do, hang with my friends and watch the most expected film of the year. Plus, as you all now, Dakota Fanning is part of the cast (yey!) and i love her so much(L). Besides, what could ever go wrong? Edward gets back...right?:'
This guy's a genious!! Great actor, singer, dancer, father and also Academy Award host (one of the best, i gotta say). Wolverine, Leopold, the Drover, and many other roles his known for. This guy really does a great job; impecable!
The curious case of Benjamin Button

Growing up and Growing old in opposite directions...
I gotta say it hasn't been even 20 minutes since i finished watching this film, and i already had to come here and write about it. It was not only Brad Pitt's best performance, but a film i will never forget. My head aches a little for all the tears i just shed out of my eyes: i gotta say just how sad i found this story, and really interesting in a way, but i would never change my life for a life like Benjamin's; just the fact of losing memories, or even the gift or walking, speaking or thinking by myself...i just don't know what i would do. Given this, i have now a totally new respect, not for life so much, but for growing old, because that's just the way it's supposed to be. And that's why this film is so incredible (as many other that did the same thing in me): cause it's a film that constantly keeps me looking at life from a different point of view, from another side or version of the story of it. An that's what makes it so special.
